Config Vaccines

Note icon For Washington Users: For the state of Washington, this is referred to as First Responder/Mass Imms/Dispensing.

These settings allow administrators to set the sort order of all vaccine lists (including system-created order sets) throughout the application, as well as modify the shortcuts that appear on the Vaccination View/Add page for the following applications/modules:

IWeb
First Responder
Mass Immunizations
Paper Data Entry

The sort order and shortcuts are reflected on all vaccine drop-down lists, including the ones on these pages:

Vaccination View/Add
Define Lot Number
Personal Settings
Reports (the ones that have vaccines)

Note that additional medicines have been added to prepare for possible SNS initiatives.

To access these settings, click the Administration > Settings > Conf Vaccines link. The Vaccine Configuration Detail page opens. Click Edit to configure the settings. The Update Vaccine Configuration page opens. After making changes, click one of the buttons available on the page:

Restore Default Sort - Display the shortcuts in the default order (most commonly used on top).
Sort Alphabetically - Display the shortcuts alphabetically.
Cancel - Return to the previous page without saving the changes.
Reset - Reset all of the fields to the previous settings and remain on the same page.
Save - Save all of the changes made.

The available fields, columns and options on this page are as follows:

Field/Column/Option	Description
Vaccine	The name of the vaccine.
Vaccine Trade Name	Registry Client users can define a new label to display on the Vaccinations View/Add and Vaccination Detail pages for all users in IWeb, Mass Immunizations, School Nurse, and Child Care modules. A maximum of 45 characters can be entered. This does not affect reports. Examples of use: Current: Hib-PRP-OMP; New: Hib-PRP-OMP (Pedvax Hib) Current: Hib-PRP-T; New: Hib-PRP-T (ActHib, Hiberix)
Sort Order	There are three types of sorts that appear on vaccine drop-down lists: Default, alphabetical, and numerical order. Default - The most frequently used vaccines appear at the top of the list. Alphabetically - To display the vaccines in alphabetical order, click the Sort Alphabetically button toward the bottom of the page. Numerical Order - To display the vaccines in a specific, defined order, type the whole numbers on the Sort Order field in the order you want them displayed on the lists.
Shortcut? (IWeb)	State-configurable option. Select the option to enable the shortcut for IWeb users.
Mass Immunizations Shortcut?	State-configurable option. Select the option to enable the shortcut for Mass Immunizations users.
Paper Data Entry Shortcut?	State-configurable option. Select the option to enable the shortcut for Paper Data Entry users.
